What to Expect

  • Knowledge Development: Begin your diving journey with the PADI Open Water Diver course manual and video theory, designed to help you understand the basics of scuba diving. Study at your own pace, either online or offline, and complete quizzes to ensure you grasp key concepts.
  • Confined Water Dives: Practice your scuba skills in a controlled environment, such as a pool or a calm lagoon. Here, you’ll take your first breaths underwater and learn essential techniques like setting up your scuba gear, buoyancy control, and clearing your mask.
  • Open Water Dives: Experience four dives in an open water setting, such as the ocean or a lake, under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. You’ll apply the skills you’ve learned in real-world conditions and explore the underwater world.


  • Age: Must be at least 10 years old.

  • Swimming Ability: Able to swim 200 meters (or 300 meters with mask, fins, and snorkel) and tread water for 10 minutes.

  • Health: Must be medically fit for diving. A medical questionnaire must be completed, and a physician’s approval may be required depending on your answers.


  • Duration: The course can be completed in 4-7 days, depending on the schedule and pace that suits you.

  • Equipment: Equipment: Basic scuba gear is provided, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive computer, and tank. Please bring personal items like swimwear, sunscreen, and a towel with you.

  • Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll receive a PADI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet) with a buddy.
