Advanced Open Water Diver Sri Lanka – PADI AOWD Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Sri Lanka course helps you expand your skills, gain confidence and explore new underwater environments through a series of guided adventure dives. It’s the ideal next step after your Open Water certification, allowing you to dive deeper, refine your navigation skills and try exciting specialty dives.

What You Learn in the Advanced Open Water Diver Course

This PADI program includes five adventure dives designed to build your experience and introduce you to different types of diving. You begin with PADI eLearning or the printed manual, where you study deep diving, navigation and other specialty topics. The theory portion typically takes 5–10 hours and can be completed at your own pace.

During your course, you will complete two required adventure dives:

• Deep Dive – explore depths beyond 18 meters/60 feet
• Underwater Navigation – compass skills and natural navigation

You may then choose three elective dives such as:

• Night Diving
• Wreck Diving
• Peak Performance Buoyancy
• Digital Underwater Imaging
• Fish Identification

Each dive strengthens your comfort and control underwater. The Advanced Open Water Diver Sri Lanka course also gives you hands-on practice with buoyancy, communication and situational awareness.

Course Requirements

• Minimum age: 12 years
• PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
• Good health and fitness for diving
